A 16-year-old student was arrested Wednesday morning at Oshkosh North High School after school staff reported concerns that the student may have been carrying a firearm, according to the Oshkosh Police Department.
Police said the incident began around 9:20 a.m. when school staff notified a school resource officer after receiving information that a student might have a gun on school property.
Officers responded to the school and began investigating the report. Within approximately 20 minutes, police arrested the 16-year-old student.
Authorities have not released additional details about the circumstances of the incident, including whether a firearm was recovered or what charges the student may face.
