With hearts heavy with sorrow, we remember Cabot Pitts, 42, of Palmer, Alaska, and Connor Helsel, 18, of Michigan, whose lives were tragically lost in a plane crash in Alaska’s remote Wrangell Mountains.
The two were aboard a Piper Cub that crashed Thursday evening shortly after taking off from a dirt airstrip near Snag Creek, close to the community of Nabesna. A journey that began in the skies came to a heartbreaking end, leaving families, friends, and communities facing an unimaginable loss.
Cabot and Connor were more than names connected to a tragic report. They were loved ones, friends, and cherished individuals whose lives brought meaning to those around them.
Their memories will live on through the people who knew and loved them, even as those left behind face the pain of their absence.
