A 19-year-old Muncie man was killed early Tuesday morning, September 22, 2026, in a two-vehicle crash in rural Dearborn County, Indiana, leaving family and friends facing a heartbreaking loss.
According to the Indiana State Police, troopers from the Versailles District responded shortly after 6:00 a.m. to the 8900 block of East State Road 350 near Aurora following a report of a serious crash.
Investigators determined that a 2003 Chevrolet truck driven by Trent J. Laudermilt, 19, of Muncie, was traveling eastbound when it struck a disabled, unoccupied 2008 Chevrolet truck that was parked along the roadway.
The impact caused Laudermilt’s vehicle to continue into a guardrail before traveling down an embankment. A passenger in the vehicle, 19-year-old Jeffrey Cole, also of Muncie, was ejected during the crash.
